2014 WWSP 'Buckets List' Scorekeeping System

"Here is the way it works. I have been toying with the idea of buckets for point values. That is really the way the old system worked anyway. Attached is a pdf file of both the new compared next to the old system. First there is the number of teams that get it right, then the point value, then the extra number in there is the number of teams that can get that value if the appropriate number of teams get it right.

That is the old system. The new system is next to it. Again, the number of teams answering the question is first and in the second column is the points awarded for that question. As you can see there are a lot less 10 point questions than before and the harder old 10 point questions are now worth more. It will work just fine and give a more exciting contest."

Hourly & Music Snippet questions are worth 2000 points divided by the number of teams answering correctly plus 3, rounded up to the next multiple of 5. Maximum of 500 points.

The Trivia Stone is comprised of 3 portions, each completed portion earns a Stamp. 1 stamp earns 50 points, 2 stamps earns 150 points, and all 3 stamps is worth 300 points.

Both of the Running Questions are worth 150 points each.

Thanks to Jason Bilbrey of The Collective for pointing out the error in my previous scoring formula.
